Weekly Course Overview
Week One: Connecting with Self
This first session centers on the relationship with yourself, and your habitual ways of responding to personal needs, wounds, and desires. By understanding how you relate to your interior world, you can learn to self-correct and heal antiquated stories, beliefs, and judgment.
Week Two: Connecting with Family
In this second session, you focus on the relationship to family and the complex dynamics of building and sustaining bonds with individuals in your kin group. How do you cultivate support and affection among those to whom you might never have chosen connection — but whom you value, nevertheless? This is a confusing area for many of us, and ripe for insight and transformation.
Week Three: Connecting with Friends
In the third session, you explore the critical, frequently overlooked impacts of platonic connection on your emotional health. How can you sustain long-term bonds, honor non-romantic intimacy, and avoid the common pitfalls that can sabotage relationships with friends? Strengthening non-romantic connections is an essential step to emotional wholeness.
Week Four: Connecting with Partners
In this final session, you turn your attention to connecting with lovers and romantic partners (both present and past), and the distinct challenges of intimate relationships. How does Eros impact your emotional life, for better and worse, and how can you bring wisdom into this complex emotional zone? Do you define yourself through romantic love, and how does this conspire against happiness, if so?
Taken together, these four sessions provide a framework for illuminating and healing, the heart-connections that sustain you.
